About Lake Norman Youth Orchestra
Our Vision
The Lake Norman Youth Orchestra ("LKNYO") is a music organization inspired by Dr. Jose Antonio Abreu and the concept that music is for everyone, and especially for every child.
The LKNYO is dedicated to providing cultural enrichment, musical instruction and performance opportunities for community youth through a unique and independent orchestral program. The LKNYO provides instrumental music insstruction and group performance opportunities, intended as a supplement to school and/or private instruction. The program includes sectional instruction and group rehearsals on a weekly basis, culminating in community performances.
Membership is open to all Lake Norman and surrounding community youth. Membership is free. There is no audition required.
